This presentation will discuss the pathophysiology, disease progression, and the physical & emotional burden of autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). The key factors that play into ADPKD disease diagnosis and progression will be presented.

Joshua Lipschutz, MD
Professor of Medicine, Renal Division Director, and the Arthur Williams Chair in NephrologyMedical University, South Carolina*
Dr Lipschutz completed his undergraduate studies, medical school, and residency at Indiana University. He then went on to complete his Nephrology Fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). After his medical training, Dr Lipschutz successfully established an internationally recognized independent research program that better explained the etiology of polycystic kidney disease at the University of Pennsylvania. This work and much more has been published in over 80 scientific manuscripts and has been supported by multiple grants from the National Institutes of Health, Veterans Affairs, and private foundations.
In 2014, Dr Lipschutz took a Professor of Medicine position at the Medical University of South Carolina where he also serves as the Director of the Renal Division and the Arthur Williams Chair in Nephrology. Finally, Dr Lipschutz selflessly serves his country and is a Colonel in the South Carolina Army National Guard.

Josh Gariboldi, PharmD, BCPS is a Nephrology Clinical & Scientific Liaison with Otsuka. Dr Gariboldi earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida in 2012. He has more than eight years of experience as a clinical pharmacist in both the community and hospital settings, most recently at Bon Secours Mercy Health St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, SC.
