Empowering Patients with Kidney Disease: The Role Of Patients in Improving Care
About This Event
Empowering Patients with Kidney Disease: The Role Of Patients in Improving Care
Most improvements in healthcare outcomes are attributed to clinical, operational, or financial process changes. However, patients can also play a considerable role in improving their care. This presentation explores patient empowerment and shared decision-making concepts, specific to patients suffering from kidney disease. By recognizing the potential benefit of empowered patients, it shifts the balance of care from the hospital and clinician to the community and patient – giving kidney patients a voice and control to improve outcomes!
