This presentation is an overview of IgA Nephropathy (IgAN), the most common primary glomerular nephropathy worldwide. During this presentation you will learn the clinical presentation, diagnosis, prognosis, and unmet treatment needs of IgAN. You will then take a deep dive into the current understanding of IgAN pathogenesis including the four hit cascade and the key role B-cells and APRIL (A PRoliferation-Inducing Ligand) play in driving disease progression.

Bolanle Soyombo, PharmD, BCACP
Bolanle Soyombo is a medical science liaison at Otsuka Pharmaceutical Development & Commercialization, Inc. (OPDC). Dr. Soyombo received her doctorate in pharmacy from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy in 2018 and went on to complete an ambulatory care focused PGY1 residency at Xavier University of Louisiana. Prior to joining Otsuka, Dr. Soyombo worked for Ochsner Health in the Digital Medicine Department where she independent managed chronic diseases for patients in the greater New Orleans Area. She went on to work for Devoted Health where she broadened her reach to patient populations across 7 states in the US. Dr. Soyombo has a passion for disease state management and education. She is a board-certified ambulatory care pharmacist.
