Hot Topics In Polycystic Kidney Disease Nutrition: A Panel Discussion
About This Event
Hot Topics In Polycystic Kidney Disease Nutrition: A Panel Discussion
Polycystic kidney disease (PKD) is a genetic disease-causing uncontrolled growth of cysts in the kidney eventually leading to kidney failure1. While a specific diet won’t make polycystic kidneys better, certain modifications can meaningfully impact disease progression2. Join us for a panel discussion featuring 3 experts in the renal nutrition field. They will discuss hot topics and the latest research in PKD nutrition including plant-based and ketogenic diets, specific dietary guideline approaches, and kidney protective mechanisms. Additionally, actionable steps to help your patient’s implement a balanced and healthy diet will be discussed. Celebrate PKD Awareness month with us!
