Concepts & Controversies: Diabetic Kidney Disease, Diet Recommendations, A Discussion From The Experts
This webinar will be a dialogue between two well-known Nephrologists who are experts in Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and Plant-based Nutrition. They will discuss the Concepts and Controversies of using a high-protein diet for weight loss and glycemic control in patients who have, or who are at risk of having, diabetic kidney disease (DKD). In this discussion, these experts will discuss the CKD Nutrition Clinical Practice Guidelines regarding DKD as well as the trade-off of high protein diets for weight loss and glycemic control vs. a low protein diet for delayed progression of CKD.
