Kristen Nowak, PhD, MPH, is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension. She received her PhD from the University of Colorado Boulder in integrative physiology and completed a postdoctoral fellowship (nephrology) and MPH (epidemiology) at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. She has been principal investigator or co-investigator for several ongoing and completed ADPKD clinical trials. Her work is supported by funding from the National Institutes of Health and the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation. She is particularly focused on the role of lifestyle, including dietary interventions and weight loss, and the progression ADPKD, as well as physiological mechanisms involved. She also directs the Clinical Vascular Physiology Laboratory in the Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension.
