Yet\, 172 years later\, women entering medical school still face gender-based inequities that may persist throughout their career. Among the top issues are the gender wage-gap\, underrepresentation in specialties\, and disparities within leadership roles. The intersection of motherhood and career progression continues to be a highly relevant but sensitive issue for women in medicine\, further exacerbated by the pandemic. Join us for an exciting discussion on these topics and more\, incorporating the lived experiences of our esteemed panelists. We will focus on the achievements of women leaders in nephrology\, current challenges\, and potential solutions\, including the value of mentorship and sponsorship. \n\n\n\n*Drs Ellie Kelepouris\, Silvi Shah\, and Natasha Dave are paid consultants of Otsuka Pharmaceutical Development & Commercialization\, Inc.
